The Pakistani government has unveiled an ambitious National Digital Skills Programme aimed at training over two million young Pakistanis in technology and digital literacy by 2026. The initiative, announced by the Ministry of IT and Telecommunication, will establish dedicated training centres in all four provinces including Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Punjab, Sindh, and Balochistan.<\/p>\n
The programme will offer free courses in areas such as artificial intelligence, cloud computing, mobile app development, freelancing, and cybersecurity. Partnerships have been signed with leading technology companies and local universities to develop the curriculum.<\/p>\n
Federal Minister for IT stated that Pakistan’s young population is its greatest asset, and equipping them with digital tools will drive economic growth and reduce unemployment. Special quotas have been reserved for women and students from rural areas to ensure inclusive participation.<\/p>\n
